Hosting Your Event at WestShire Farms

Our secluded 12-acre estate is a Civil War era property offering a unique setting for

your event, whether large or small, and just minutes from Staunton, VA and Interstate 81. 


1.  Small Events: Windsor House and Biltmore Conservatory (up to 35 guests)


Uses: The Windsor House is the Inn’s main building and the perfect, quaint setting for smaller indoor events, such as:

  • Small elopement or micro-weddings;
  • Wedding showers/rehearsal dinners;
  • Private luncheons and dinners;
  • Other smaller, celebratory events; and
  • Small business meetings (with or without meals).


Features: Our signature dining and event room, the Biltmore Conservatory, is an all-glass room and the perfect place for your private event. The Biltmore Conservatory is adjoined by the Windsor House’s cozy common areas, a player piano, handicap accessible bathroom and shaded outdoor spaces with patio seating and gas firepits.  This package also includes:

  • Indoor table seating for up 25 people in our all-glass Biltmore Conservatory.
  • Use of table linens, china place settings, silverware and crystal glassware.
  • Indoor standing reception for up to 35 people in our glass conservatory and main floor of the Windsor House.
  • Audio-Visual: The Biltmore Conservatory and Windsor House sitting room areas are equipped with ceiling-mounted data projectors (VGA, USB and HDMI connections), premium sound and motorized 100” screens.


Cost: Minimum spending of $300 (two hours @ $150 per hour) anytime between the hours of 11:00am and 8:00pm. (This package does not include the use of the Inn’s kitchen or appliances.)  

And there’s more .…  Depending on the number of guest and type of meals, our staff can prepare and serve meals to fits your needs. You can also cater your event. We have several recommendations for exceptional caterers that can provide quality meals and service at reasonable prices.  If you have lodging needs, and depending on room availability, we have nine extraordinary guest rooms that are also available for event hosts and guests, which include our signature Brekkie Your Way™ breakfasts.

Preferential pricing is available for Augusta County’s service organizations and any bonified 501(c)(3) non-profit group.


2.  Larger Events:  The Chanandowa Terrace (up to 200 guests)


Uses: The Chanandowa Terrace is a 60’ x 80’ hard-packed, crushed stone pad that is available for an open-air or tented event, such as a wedding reception, large-scale parties, concerts or trade shows. The Chanandowa Terrace is nicely landscaped and is in the foreground of breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

FeaturesThis package includes the use of the Windsor House as an additional indoor space, which can accomodate up to 35 guests who are attending your function at the Chanandowa Terrace. This package requires the event host to reserve all nine extraordinary guest rooms in the Inn’s Millstone Barn for the night of the event.  A gourmet breakfast will be served for the overnight guests (up to 18) on the morning following the event.  This package also includes:

  • Exclusive use of the entire Inn property, including the Windsor House, Millstone Barn, all outdoor patios and seating areas, and 12 acres of walking trails and pastures.
  • Parking for up to 90 vehicles.
  • 40-amp electrical service and a city water supply at the Chanandowa Terrace site for lighting, entertainment, lavatory and catering needs.

Again, this cost includes nine guest rooms and access to the entire property, but does not include the costs for tents, tables and chairs, tableware, food and beverages and lavatory facilities.  Event hosts often ask, “What can I expect to pay to rent tents, tables and other things for my event?”   We compiled some estimates of these costs for your consideration (click here). These costs are borne by the event host.  The event suppliers and vendors must be pre-approved by Inn management. (This package does not include the use of the Inn’s kitchen or appliances, table linens or place settings.)
